The 20' x 16' Hammer Beam Frame is a striking timber frame design that blends traditional craftsmanship with impressive open space and architectural character. Featuring classic hammer beam joinery, this frame creates a dramatic interior feel while maintaining excellent structural strength in a compact footprint. Its versatile size makes it ideal for a pavilion, small gathering space, workshop, outdoor entertaining area, or unique cabin structure. This frame incorporates a combination of heavy timber components including 8x8 and 8x10 posts, substantial 8x12 and 8x10 bottom chords, a 6x14 ridge plate, and a mix of 8x10 and 4x10 common rafters. The hammer beam design is complemented by multiple 6x8 knee braces that enhance both structural integrity and visual appeal. As with all Team Timber frames, this structure can be provided as a CNC cut timber frame kit package with engineered stamped plans available. Additional wood species and custom sizing options are also available to suit your project needs.
